Our Values

Our firm was founded by Bill Glassner in 1985. Bill’s modest upbringing was the driving force that motivated him to help others in his community. He sought to bring them greater financial literacy and empowering them to make wise financial decisions. After a few decades in the business Bill’s son-in-law, Judd Carlton, became his successor. It remains a family owned business until this day.

This simple story tells a great deal about the values we represent to this day: hard work, honesty, and perseverance. With these values in mind we aim to make an impact on families, businesses, and individuals in the community around us that we are so fortunate to be a part of.

I am the founder of Glassner Carlton Financial. I set out years ago to establish a company that could help regular, ordinary folks like me from our community to be able to achieve what they wanted in life without the worry of not having enough money. I am transitioning the practice to my son-in-law, Judd Carlton, and I have the utmost confidence in his ability to uphold this firm’s core values of hard work, integrity, and honesty, the principles upon which it was founded. 

I provide investment, retirement, estate, tax, education and insurance planning to my clients, families and individuals that I have worked with for many years, from my office in Boca Raton, Florida.

I earned an MS from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University. 

His human side…

I have loved numbers and finance, and I enjoy helping people. At one point I realized that what came easy to me in looking at personal finance was not easy to master for everyone. I had an early mentor, my first boss after school. He was a very successful businessperson who taught me to focus on service and quality control, and to spend enough time to focus on the details. These are the fundamentals of my business strategy and they’ve benefited our clients tremendously.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from New York University with a BA in Economics and have an MS in Accounting from the Silberman College of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I also hold the CFP® and AIF ® designations.

His human side…

I was interested in markets and economics from an early age. I even studied economics and game theory at summer camps in middle school (nerd).

The person who has had the biggest influence over my career path is my father-in-law Bill Glassner, the founder of the firm. He showed me how planning for the long-term makes a big impact. He shared his comprehensive knowledge of bond investing. He taught me early on to consider the conservative approach. I learned his calm and warm demeanor. Every once in a while a client will say that I sound like him.

I love living near Morristown because there is a great balance between town life and outdoor life. You can hike a mountain, watch the kids play their sports in the open fields and then have a world class dinner with friends -- all within 10 or 15 minutes of each other.

I have been fortunate to be a member of the team since 2001. I am dedicated to ensuring operational cohesiveness while managing client needs regarding financial services requests. I am proficient in establishing various types of accounts and maintaining the expedient flow of paperwork generated by our office's transactions. Her human side…

I have had many influences throughout the years in the financial industry. Starting as a receptionist in 1985 at a bond trading firm on Wall Street, a mentor encouraged me to obtain my industry licenses to allow for more opportunities within the industry. Early on in my career I was focused on the operations and trading side of the industry that included working for major firms and on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. 

When I joined Glassner Carlton Financial, I found the financial planning aspect of the financial industry to be interesting since it has a more personal approach to a client’s financial needs. It is very gratifying knowing that I can assist clients achieve their goals.

Bill Glassner was a big influence in my enthusiasm to learn more about the financial planning aspect of the financial industry. He has been a great leader and educator throughout the years. As Judd Carlton took over, he offered a wealth of knowledge to continue expanding my knowledge that enhances my client services capabilities. I am very thankful for this opportunity to work along side both Bill & Judd all these years.

I have been in the financial industry for over 10 years. As a Client Relations Manager, my primary goal is to ensure seamless delivery of service to all clients. We will be working together on analysis and report creation, portfolio management, and other technical aspects of your accounts. 

I have an MBA in Finance and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University, and also plan to obtain the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. 

Her human side…

I got into the business of financial advising because I wanted to leave trading behind and was looking for a career change. I found that the industry appeals to me because planning and organization are two of my greatest strengths. 

The person who has had the greatest influence over my career path was my father. He came to this country with nothing and worked his way toward a successful career and business. He has always pushed me to work hard and accomplish more than I thought I could. 

My favorite thing about living near Morristown is the feel of the suburbs (trees and blue sky) combined with the closeness of the big city. I like being surrounded by parks and nature while at the same time having anything I need be just a quick car ride away.

I joined the team in 2019 and am currently working towards my BA in Finance with a minor in Economics at Montclair State University. I received my Wealth Management Specialist™ certification from Kaplan Financial and plan to become a Certified Financial Planner™ post-graduation. 

I work closely with the team to prepare and analyze financial statements for review during client meetings. I also help to enhance the social media and marketing aspects of the firm.

His human side…

I like the increasingly popular fee-only business model where clients and advisors both benefit from the growth of their net worth. Growing up in a household of humble means, I quickly learned the importance of managing personal finances. I find it fulfilling that this career path will allow me to help others improve their financial literacy as well.

Although I could credit multiple finance YouTubers who I have followed throughout high school, Judd Carlton has had the biggest influence over my career path. I was extremely fortunate to secure an internship at Glassner Carlton during my sophomore year of college and have learned an immense amount about the industry since.

Time and time again, we hear from our clients that it is the high attention paid to even the smallest of decisions that has made the difference for them.

Here are some examples of ways that we have helped our clients by devoting time to what may have been considered a minor detail that turned out to have a large impact.

Looking Beyond the Surface

A client came to us with an investment that sounded too good to be true. It was recommended by a trusted service provider of theirs. Through our careful inspection we sensed something wasn’t right. It turned out to be a fraud.


Doing the Right Thing Even in the Face of Challenges

We were troubled by seeing a client’s lawyer trying to line himself up to receive the family’s inheritance. Over a period of years we urged our client to meet a new attorney. We event insisted on being in the meeting with the client and attorney in person to be sure it was being executed correctly. The new attorney was originally defensive, but eventually thanked me for protecting the client.


Didn’t Matter What It Took

A client was facing a large estate tax bill of about $1 million. We helped them create and implement a strategy that reduced the tax by sizable proportions. It took over a year of planning and attending meetings with multiple generations of the family and the legal team.


Going Beyond the Bounds of the Relationship

A client forgot take their required minimum distribution at an outside institution. By reminding them that they need to take their distribution we saved them the 50% penalty they would have been charged.


Not Letting Things Slip Through the Cracks

We received an email requesting a federal funds wire request from a client’s account for $25,000 to be sent to a bank account that we did not recognize. We called the client to confirm his request and found that he did not send the email. We contacted our tech support team and they were able to determine that the client’s email was hacked.

Financial Planning

We will work with you to build a financial plan that includes all of your goals related to your life and your money. We’ll discuss risk management, cash flow, tax planning, and more. For financial plans, we charge a one-time fee that ranges between $4,000 and $7,000.

Investment Management

We manage your assets according to an Investment Policy Statement (IPS) that we establish in the beginning of the relationship. It will detail your risk and return preferences. We will then create the investment strategy and purchase securities in accordance with the plan, monitor the account, and rebalance over time as necessary.

The fees for our investment management services are below. A percentage fee is applied based on the total of all assets held in Royal Alliance’s Pershing-custodian accounts. One quarter of the annual fee is charged each quarter, proportionately to each account. Adjustments are made to account for withdrawals and deposits. There is no minimum time commitment and there are no commissions or mark-ups on stocks, bonds and funds.

Each tier of household assets pays the rate noted. For example, a $2 million household pays 1% on the first million and 0.70% on the second million.
